Jung Hoseok, known professionally as J-Hope, was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea. As BTS's main dancer and a skilled rapper, he is often considered the group's dance leader and one of its mood-makers.
Before joining Big Hit Entertainment, J-Hope was a member of an underground dance team called NEURON and had already built a reputation as a skilled street dancer. His dance expertise has been instrumental in helping choreograph and teach routines to other members.
